Virginia Housing Receives National Council of State Housing Agencies Award for Program Excellence in Management Innovation
Virginia Housing was recently recognized for the Virginia Housing Fellows Program during the 2025 National Council of State Housing Agencies’ (NCSHA) Annual Awards. The Awards for Program Excellence honor state housing finance agencies (HFAs) annually for their outstanding public-purpose programs and practices, and the winners were announced during NCSHA’s 2025 Annual Conference.
“The Virginia Housing Fellows Program is an innovative human resource management initiative that is attracting talent to Virginia Housing and strengthening our operations, while also providing benefits to our nonprofit partners,” said Virginia Housing CEO Tammy Neale. “This program introduces a new generation of professionals with diverse backgrounds to Virginia’s affordable housing community.”
“At a time when housing affordability has become a critical concern for Americans, this year’s awards program makes clear that state housing finance agencies are doing more than they ever have, with more creativity and commitment, to address the issue and its underlying causes,” said NCSHA Executive Director Stockton Williams.
